After the much talk-about "walang utang na loob" brouhaha between Mother Lily Monteverde and Angel Locsin, finally, the Regal matriarch announces the final choice to play Sharon Cuneta's daughter in Mano Po 6. She is but no other than the latest addition to her Regal Babies - Carla Abellana.The role was first offered to Angel Locsin but she declined the role since due to some previous commitments with her home network ABS-CBN and its film arm Star Cinema. Second choice was Kim Chiu but the Kapamilya young actress has already a movie entry in the upcoming MMFF titled "I Love You… Goodbye" starring Gabby Concepcion, Derek Ramsey and Angelica Panganiban.
Mano Po 6 will be Carla's baptism of fire as far as movie project is concern. She is indeed lucky to have the Megastar as her co-star on her first film project.
Carla became famous through her GMA-7 hit telenovela Rosalinda.
Mano Po 6 is scheduled to hit the theaters on Christmas Day as one of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie entries and to be directed by Joel Lamangan.
