The marriage of interior design, fashion, the arts and Christmas spirit will definitely be on this season, as Metro Home & Entertaining, the Philippines’ most prestigious home design magazine, proudly presents Tree of Life, An exhibition of Yuletide Art for the renewal of the Pasig River on December 7, at 6 p.m. at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5.
The biggest Christmas tree display of the year features the designs of some renowned lifestyle icons such as accessoriesdesigner Bea Valdes; Salcedo Auctions Vice President Miguel Rosales; TV host, producer and businesswoman Daphne Osena-Paez; paper artist Tes Pasola; industrial designer Gabby Lichauco and Ten Design director Melissa La’O; export entrepreneur Al Caronan; S.C. Vizcarra creative director Rita Nazareno and Architect Anthony Nazareno of Nazareno + Guerrero Design Consultancy; and artist Leeroy New. All of them showcases their designs of exquisite yuletide trees made from eco-friendly products, to raise awareness for Ilog Pasig’s rehabilitation, a project started by ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (AFI).
Carton, Manila paper, wall paper, wire, reused mahogany wood, traditional cane, recycled packaging, metal, and newspaper are only few of the recyclable materials which were used by the personalities in their Chistmas tree designs. Display of the trees will last throughout the season, until December 31, 2010 at The Gallery of Greenbelt 5.
The designer Christmas trees is also open for bidding. Proceeds will go to the Kapit Bisig Para Sa Ilog Pasig effort of AFI.
